OWH boy card

I haven't had much time to stamp lately (my life story right now!) but I did have time to do a quick boy card for Operation Write home :)

Thanks for looking!

PS I don't know why I keep using the same color scheme! I'll have to put these colors away!

For my card I used Paper trey ink's heart set and G-rated grass to create this card.
Pacific Point , black and green galore were used for the colors.

Happy Tuesday!

Got to play with some new sets this weekend! The first card with the window is by Taylored Expressions and the two phone cards with this adorable phone are from My Favorite Things. Patterned paper is from the new 6x6 Doodlebug paper pads. I'm making these to fill my box to OWH so I can get it mailed :)

Fun and Simple

For this card I used a circle punch and punched out 3 circles from my doodlebug paper pack then I used the flower punch and punched 3 flowers on the white card stock. I then glued the circles over the flowers and added a brad for the center of the flower. The leaf stamp is from a retired SU stamp and the words are from Hero Arts. I used my scorer to score 4 lines and then had to throw in my favorite accessory, black and white twine.

Thanks for looking.

Gotta love Pinterest!

So, I had this big empty space on my wall and I saw this pocket frame on Pinterest so I decided to make one myself! I went down to my local thrift store and bought everything there for a total of $16.51. The spray paint was ours already. Here is my finished piece that will store cards I've made and cards I've received! I love it!

Here is the piece that inspired me but, there were no directions so I did it on my own.
The frame I found had a cardboard backing. You will need a stapler, fabric long enough to make pockets, and iron and tape for the back.

I starting from top to bottom starting with stapling my fabric to the top evenly. Then bring fabric up and decide how deep a pocket you want, iron it and theres your first pocket. Repeat till finished and stretch and staple so your pockets won't be too loose in the middle and then your frame back together and viola! A piece of art!
